Can the AMP MD™ Micro-Exfoliating Roller help with sun damage and shallow acne scars?

Dr. Katie Rodan’s Response:

For best results, the AMP MD System is recommended for use with REDEFINE Regimen.

If your skin is free of acne, you may use the REDEFINE AMP MD System and REDEFINE Regimen to help improve the appearance of firmer, smoother and more even-looking skin while decreasing the appearance of large pores. However, if you are still experiencing breakouts, we suggest that you use the UNBLEMISH Regimen to address the complex issues associated with acne: red inflammation, excess oil and post-acne dark marks. The AMP MD System is not recommended for use on active acne or on very sensitive skin—so hold off on micro-exfoliating until your acne has cleared up.

If you are concerned about uneven skin tone, brown spots and other telltale signs of sun exposure, you can amp up your REVERSE Regimen results by adding AMP MD to your daily routine. Within two weeks of using the REVERSE Regimen and REDEFINE AMP MD Micro-Exfoliating Roller, more than 80% of the participants saw faster results in overall skin appearance, brightness, texture and firmness.

  1. I am using Redefine, acute care and the amp md. My skin has broken out, for lack of a better description, with little red bumps. It seems mostly to be related to the amp md because the bumps appear where I roll, i.e. my neck and my jaw line, among other areas, but I’m not sure. I am trying different combinations to see if I can isolate the cause but have you had others comment on this, and if so, what was discovered to be the reason?

  2. Need a little help here please.
My customer uses the redefine regimen and has begun to use the AMP MD roller. She has small Red bumps on her neck and face as a result of using the roller. She did say that she swam this morning. Could chlorine have anything to do with the red bumps?

  3. I have someone who wants to use the Amp Roller above her lip for wrinkles. However, she has an issue with Keloid scars forming like with cuts or vaccine scars and doesn’t want that to happen over her lip. Will the Amp Roller cause the keloid to be created or is there another option for over her lip?

  4. I have gone to a dermatologist and been diagnosed with Actinic Keratoses. She wanted to do a Levulan Kerastick treatment. I told her I use R&F Reverse and she told me nothing topical could cure what I have. She said I needed a deep peel only done professionally. Then I had a friend tell me that after her first treatment her face was like a pussbag in the morning and she had to go on steriods. That scared me.

My question is – Can any R&F product cure the Actinic Keratoses? I avoid sun now.

  5. What is the best product to use to heal and help small scars fade or disappear? Recently had surgery and have an unexpected scar that I want to treat and try and fade away. U currently use the Redefine and was told the Sooth #2 would work on scarring?

Also, is there anything in your line that you recommend for helping diminish deeper, keloid type scarring? Have tried other products that didn’t work for him. Thx!!

  6. I have cleared my acne using Unblemish, but now need to get rid of my scars. I am now alternating between Unblemish at night and Reverse in the morning while incorporating the AMP Roller. Is this the fastest way to see the scars disappear?

  8. I have terribly dry skin/eczma and have been using soothe and the eye cream. I am looking for ideas of adding other products or should I go back to my previous products which I know?

  9. I have been using Unblemish for awhile and while the acne on my face is under control, I’m still seeing acne on
my jawline and neck. Could I switch to Redefine but continue to use Unblemish on the affected area only? I have post acne scarring on my cheeks that I am anxious to address.

  10. A friend and prospective customer would like to start on the Reverse regimen and was recommended it by the ST but she is three months pregnant and her doctor asked what the percentage of retinal was in the product. Neither I or my up line has been able to find the answer to that.

  11. I have a client with an autoimmune disorder, hidradenitis suppurativa, and she wants to try R+F before going on Humira as her dermatologist recommends, but isn’t sure what to use. Which R+F products work best for autoimmune disorders?

  12. Can you discuss rolling around the mouth area? I’m wondering about how to improve on the small vertical wrinkles that form on the upper and lower lip, as well as the larger smile lines from the nose to corners of your mouth. This area seems to be quite sensitive, so wondering about the best practice. Thank you.

  13. I’ve been using the redefine twice daily with the roller 6 times per week since October 2015. No breakouts but still having problems with blackheads on and around my nose. I do use the microdermabrasion paste a couple times a week. Have seen awesome results except for this one issue. What do you suggest? Thank you!

    1. Are you also using the Unblemish wash as a mask after the Micro Paste? That seems to work wonders for my clients!

  14. I have cleared my acne using Unblemish, but now need to get rid of my scars. I am now alternating between Unblemish at night and Reverse in the morning while incorporating the AMP Roller. Is this the fastest way to see the scars disappear?
